Fest, Rotary GroveFest! Downtown, Downers Grove,
http://www.rotarygrovefest.com http://www.downers.us/story/view/366
Parking is available at the parking garage and at Village Hall.
With many towns and villages needing to make financial cuts to their budgets, Downers Grove is no different. Forced to make cuts and become more fiscally responsible to the taxpayers, Downers Grove decided to cancel the traditional Heritage Festival that has been the mainstay of summertime festivals. Relying on the idea that not for profits would be a great alternative to take over the planning and implementation of festivals, the Rotary Club of Downers Grove stepped up and will keep the summertime tradition alive.
While steeped in many traditions, the Rotary Club of Downers Grove stepped up and has been working diligently since the end of 2009 to produce a festival that will cater to the residents of Downers Grove and surrounding suburbs. The Rotary GroveFest will be held July 15th -18th in the downtown area of Downers Grove. While the scope of the festival is greatly downsized, it still offers many of the attractions that are warmly welcomed by our community.

Blarney Island, Port O' Blarney, 27843 W. Grass Lake Rd (3.5M W. of 59), Antioch, 847-395-4122, http://www.blarneyisland.com
In 1992, Haley expanded to what is now the land base of operations for Blarney Island known as Port of Blarney. The Port of Blarney is a year 'round restaurant and during the summer is an active marina, plus the home to the Blarney Island's shuttle service.
Blarney Island is located in the middle of Grass Lake, one of the many lakes on the Chain-O-Lakes, in Antioch, Illinois. However, don't worry if you don't own a boat or don't know anyone who does. Blarney Island operates a Shuttle Service to and from The Island. Depending on the day the Shuttle Service departs from the Port of Blarney to Blarney Island at the top of the hour. If you are at Blarney Island the shuttle normally departs to return to the Port of Blarney at the bottom of the hour. We provide this service for nominal fee and that fee varies depending on the day of the week. Normal shuttle hours: Mon-Wed: 12N-8p, Thu-Sat: 12N-11p, Sun: 12N-9p,
