Roscoe and Damen, Chicago, 773-665-4682, http://www.roscoevillage.org
http://www.starevents.com |
Come see why The Food Network's Rachael Ray thinks Retro on Roscoe is so fabulous. The Roscoe Village Neighbors
is the beneficiary of Retro on Roscoe. This non-profit organization promotes the Village of Roscoe as a friendly
place for Chicagoans to live and for local businesses to flourish. It provides an open forum for discussions on
how to improve the community and seeks to continually improve safety for the people who live and work in Roscoe
Village. Proceeds from Retro on Roscoe benefit Roscoe Village Neighbors. This year, RVN is using Retro income to
fund improvements to the business district, donate to the Hamlin Park Baseball field upgrade, support our local
schools, Audubon and Jahn, by funding teaching resources and reading materials, and hosting a variety of community
events for our membership and members of the community. Sat & Sun: 12N-10p A $5(??) donation
is requested at the door, and children under 12 and senior citizens are free. One of Chicago's hottest areas is
the home of this flashback weekend of fun. Retro on Roscoe, now in its 12th season, will feature an antique car
and motorcycle show, and plenty of '70s, '80s and '90s music to entertain the crowd of over 35,000 people.
Antique and craft vendors, ethnic foods and games, fill the venue and liven up this tree-lined street for an enjoyable,
two-day festival that brings back great memories while providing an exciting venue for the entire family. The Family
Area is one of the best in the City and offers games, crafts, entertainment and lots more. This weekend will provide
an incredible experience filled with exciting opportunities for all in attendance. Do not miss Retro on Roscoe!
