The Handcuffs' own Chloe F. Orwell lent her vocal chords to a track on a brand
new CD of cool fight songs to help cheer on our hometown team Da' Bears as they head to the Superbowl. The song
is called "All Aboard" (track 2 of the CD) and is an awesome dance/pop number a la Gwen Stefani or Fergie.
Our own Brad Elvis, along with Chloe, was a co-producer of the song, and the CD features 12 tracks of fun, catchy,
sing-a-long fight songs (including "Bear Down Chicago Bears," which has never been available on a CD
until now). Order it from AMAZON.COM (if you order it today, you should get it in time for Superbowl Sunday). OR
if you're in the Chicago area, you can pick it up at JEWEL stores. It's sure to be collectible.

St, Roselle, 630-529-1825, http://vinetastings.com (2 Blks
E of Roselle Rd, 1 blk S of Irving Park Rd) |
Yes sirree Bob, we will be performing once again at Vine Tastings from 7:30 until 11:00 and since we know what
a hassle it is to come out in the snow, we're going to make it ANYTHING FOR A LAUGH NIGHT! We will do all requests,
regardless of how weird and goofy, by hook or by crook. So, stump the band. Ban the stump. Stomp the rump. Whatever
you wanna do, do it with us. And remember: There is never a cover charge or minimum at the Vine!
You know what they say - when the world gives you snow, make snowcones. Make them out of Merlot or Chardonnay or
a fine Malbec... You will find it all at the Vine. This month, since it is Valentine's Month, we want everybody
to BRING A FRIEND. Bring someone who has never been to Vine Tastings, or maybe someone who hasn't ever been to
see Jim & Rich before. Take a moment to make the life of someone you know just that much better.
JOIN US THIS THURSDAY, February 15th and Friday, February 16th at the one and only, original Wine bar and music
emporium - Vine Tastings! They'll thank you for it and you'll be glad you did.
For those of you who are memory-challenged, here is how the open mic works:
Each performer who signs up (beginning at 7:00) will be able to pick a FIFTEEN MINUTE performance slot, between
7:30 and 10:30, during which he or she or them or they will be able to sing songs, play toons, jingle their collective
jangle, and yawp their immortal yawp, beating their chest(s) against the sky and generally entertain the wildly
appreciative masses. IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT!
Needless to say, we will all get a chance to drink some of the fine wine, pop and beer that Vine Tastings serves.
The PA and mics will be provided by Rich and Jim, along with a Bass amp; you are invited to bring a small guitar
amp (if needed) and your preferred instrument! Finally, there are only these few restrictions:
No Drum kits & No electronic background music (Karaoke)
We want to KEEP IT REAL, musically speaking and create a space where people can express themselves creatively while
the audience is having some fun. That is not a lot to ask, but it is a whole lot to offer (if you think about it). |

Shirley King - Being the blues singing daughter of B.B. King has earned Shirley King
the title “Daughter of the Blues,” but she is an outstanding singer and performer in her own right. She admits
that having a legendary father helped her get through doors, but it was her talent, charisma and high-energy stage
presence that got her invited back. From traditional blues to gospel to funky R&B to smooth soul, Shirley defies
genre and her singing and stage antics will fire you up! |
