Subject: D. K. Davis Nominated for Music Award
Date: Mon, 27 Jan 2003 20:35:50 -0600
Hi everyone!!
I am excited to let you know that D.K. Davis has received a nomination for a New Music Weekly Award in the category
of "Crossover Artist of the Year." D.K. shares this category with Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Creed and
Cerrito. The nominees for these awards are selected by deejays and radio stations reporting to New Music Weekly.
I am forwarding to you the page that allows you to go to the NMW website and vote for your favorite performers
in many different categories (hint: in the "Crossover Artist of the Year" category, vote for D.K.--*smile*).
In the event that the forward doesn't come through so that you can click on the circle to "vote," you
can go to:
www.newmusicweekly.com/awards/award_noms.htm
and place your vote.
The awards ceremony will be held March 15 in Los Angeles. Be sure to vote for D.K., send him good vibes, and keep
your fingers crossed!! I'll let you know the results after March 15. Thanks!!
Pam Ponton

Subject: Off Topic- Contest
Hey Gang,
Sorry this is not a contest for or about Jim Peterik or the Ides Of March but I figured I would post it here for
you all.
I recently have taken on a new client and set up a web site for him. His name is D.K. Davis. D.K.'s style is kind
of hard to pigeonhole as it is a blend of Country, Rock, Jazz, with a dash of Elvis and the Beach Boys thrown in
for good measure :) LOL Some of you might already be familiar with him and his music. His video "I Fought
The Law ( and the law won)" garnered 1st place in the Music Video Awards held in Chicago. It continued to
enjoy an extremely long run of airplay on TNN's Video Country as well as numerous international broadcast stations.
He has worked with Jim in the past and even has included a version of The Search Is Over on his new CD. His title
cut of the Elvis hit song "Return To Sender" is currently number 3 on the Rhythm & Beach chart as
well as number 9 on the Music Weekly Countdown. Anyway as a kick off for the web site we are running a contest
to win an Autographed copy of his CD. Just visit the site for the details. www.route66entertainment.com/DKframes.htm,
